Author Topic: Why are my headphones being idiotic?  (Read 853 times)

Most sounds will play through my headphones: music, youtube videos, game sounds etc.
But the default computer sounds, like the sound when i move something to another folder, play REALLY LOUDLY through the speakers.
This is extremely annoying having to mute the sound just to move something. I have a mac btw.
So how do i fix this?

Software is forgeted up.
If you could change anything without terminal I'd be impressed.

Objects can't be idiotic.

ONTOPIC: Might be your computer settings.

I think you can switch most, if not all outputs to your headphones.
I wouldn't really know, I know that in windows you can either mute or change outputs for programs and such.

Because you refused to love me as your older sister
whygriff :c

you have autistic headphones is all

I checked the output settings and they're set right.

It may stem from not having an in-line microphone capability. This happens to me when I use the mic cable for my Razer Electras. Does your computer have the capability to use an in-line microphone? If not, buy a splitter. If so, can't help you.

Okay I know this is a HUGE bump but I still haven't fixed this and it is incredibly annoying.

What OS do you use?

go to best buy and have them fix it

My laptop does this same bullstuff whenever I have speakers connected. Everything comes through the speakers except certain notifications, which re-route all my audio to my laptop speakers until the sound is finished playing.

Right Click volume
Open Volume Mixer
Turn down system sounds.

Am I going to have to just buy new headphones, then? These are kind of messed up anyways even though I just got them a few months ago
