double post for being considerate
Ghost, that was great except for the fact that the chords overrode the melody bit.

that's a problem with how the sidechaining was set up and entirely my fault for duplicating the original synth track :C

lol
I don't even know exactly what that is.

to answer your question katadeus:

I made the sound in Massive with the following stuff:

3 oscillators: 1 roughmath, 1 digital organ, and 1 formant square all routing through parallel comb and lowpass filters with a bit of white noise, a very wet, heavy bitcrush insert, 0 attack level on each envelope, a tiny bit of pitch cutoff, pan position set to 50% and mono, polyphonic legato voicing with four voices, classic tube and dimension expander effects, and EQ'ing set to boost the low shelf, high shelf, and frequency.

oh, and automation of artificial vowel enunciation using a very special plugin that I absolutely love.

Damn.
I'm not willing to go for massive yet.
Thank you for taking the time to explain though!

Massive is a fantastic program I use on most of my new tracks. One of the most flexible synths you can buy, up there with Sylenth1 and Harmor.

good christ harmor is loving insane

you can create a sound

with a loving image

don't get me wrong, I love harmor, what it can do is just goddamn ridiculous

Kind of a repost from that other topic but with some new content.

Welcome to the Island (An 8-bit style remix of Lego Island's Main Menu song/slower section of the Theme)

Welcome to the Island (Looping Version) (slowed down and touched up a bit to specificaly be a remix of Lego Island's Main Menu song)

When Good Potato Salad Goes Bad (An 8-bit style remix of Saint's Row 3's "When Good Heists Go Bad")

When Good Potato Salad Goes Worse (Same song as above)

Nightmare (Original composition but partially inspired by Beatdown Round 2's beginning and UN Owen Was Her)

It's not much to behold. ._.
