Author Topic: soo am i the only one that likes unsaid thanks instead of said thanks  (Read 947 times)

i think thanks are much better if they are left unspoken, and i get irritated when someone thanks me

anyone else?

No, I get irritated if people don't thank me if I go out of my way to do something for them. It's like, "I'm not your personal servant. Say thanks, next time." But that's just me.

if the person at least acknowledged my deed in a respectful manner (such as holding a door and them nodding their head at me) then I count that as a thanks

I used to like unspoken thanks but now it starts to get a tad depressing.

Yeah, I didn't mean they have to say it verbally.

It's a 1 syllable word. It's not hard to pronounce. If somebody doesn't thank me, I may as well assume they did not appreciate. And if they don't appreciate a kind gesture, then there is no reason I'll help them again.

You mean asocial. Antisociality is a serious disorder. So is asociality, apparently. Huh.

I am social, and saying "Thank you." is a habit.

I don't have a preference, doing a good deed is fine paycheck. A "thanks" is just a tip. :^)

if you dont say thank you you look like a little bitch. its just something i usually say to someone i dont know well like a teacher or a store clerk. i dont say it to someone like my dad because he's like, you know, my dad.

you mean like a nod of the head, or just them completely ignoring you?

I say thank you too much lol

I have no problem with people not verbally saying thanks, but I like to have at least some acknowledgement that I did something for them, otherwise they seem ungrateful. On the other hand, I tend to get annoyed when I'm showered with thanks. Seriously guys one "Thank you" is enough.
