Author Topic: Buying new computer, suggestions?  (Read 2307 times)

You guys are generally good with these things. So one of my computers, the only one any good for gaming died. I don't know how but I just remember I sent it to my dear uncle to get it fixed and he gave me some money and told me to start saving for a new computer.

So here I am 7 months later, with approx £570 budget. My dad suggests this computer.

Also I was thinking about selling the other desktop I have that would be the one I'm posting from. However then I realised it's 4 years used, all but one of the USB ports stopped working as did all but one of the audio ports. It's not really in selling condition and would probably fetch like £30 at most lol.

Rightrightright, suggestions please? I really can't go over my budget at all.

What are you looking to do/play on it?

What will you be using it for?
answer me not coolio

probably gaming because that's what her dad suggested. a gaming computer. duh.

the computer that your dad suggested is good, only thing i'm not sure about is the graphics card because i'm not familiar with nvidia. other than that, that computer is beautiful.

Your wish is granted.

Gaming. I can't really say what games I'd be playing though. It'd be a big list.

It is isn't it? It's also just within my budget and the seller is only a few miles away. Yeah, my dad was a tad concerned with the graphics card too.

I honestly didn't notice that in the title. ;_;

Are you fine with building a computer? I honestly wouldn't buy a "gaming" computer on eBay. The graphics card on the one your Dad suggested isn't very good, if you're looking to play games like Battlefield 3.

nononono I am not okay with building a computer.

I am terrible with these things.

EVERYTHING I TOUCH GOES WRONG.

How much would it cost for a better graphics card? What would you suggest?

sssh it will be okay

I wouldn't recommend that computer then if you don't want to build computers because that graphics card is relativity weak, and you can get much better within your budget.

EDIT: The rest of the computer is very good.

Alright, anyone know where I could find a better one?

Because I really, really, really don't want to build one :(

I'd imagine it'd have to be a UK site?

Yes, shipping tax is expensive :P

you could just buy the one your dad suggested and sell the card in it or keep it as a backup
and then buy a new one
