don't be over whelmed by the big page, just go to the type of computer that fits the budget. i'm not sure about the dollar/pound rate, so you'll have to google that, but i think the pound is worth more, so you could get more than 570 dollars.

I believe it will warn you if it wont work
Idk though, I do only put parts together that work that way

i'll make you a build for free lol

and i won't change you $200 more

You would be correct, I think £570 is about $900

uh the overkill one isn't overkill?

The GPU is weak as hell and is basically useless for gaming. The CPU on the other hand is overpowered; the only difference between it and an i5 is hyperthreading, which no games use. It also has much more RAM than neccessary. Get a better GPU, an i5 2500K (or better yet, a 2550K which omits the crappy Intel IGP which you won't use anway) and halve the RAM to 8 gigs.

Well clearly, the best answer is to build a computer.

Okay. I've come to terms with that. My phobia of attempting new things will have to be put behind me.

The PC in the OP looks good, you could easily live with your old card for a while until you could afford something better, I'd recommend a GTX 560, you don't need to go the extra mile for the Ti version since the regular 560 is pretty damn robust and can be overclocked pretty well from what I've heard.
You can get GTX 560's for about £130 nowadays, they aren't that expensive anymore.

Looking at some passmark benchmark scores, the GT520 in that computer is very poor, your HD 5750/5770 vastly outperforms it and should be able to play most of the games you want to play, enough to tide you over until you get a better card.

I doubt you could get a better computer for £550~, even if you built it yourself

So I should buy it?

I kinda need to make the decision soon since I've been putting off buying a new computer for so, so long and I miss playing games.

Seriously, the only video game I have played recently is Harvest Moon Animal Parade on the Wii :(.

IT'S TOO MUCH CUTE.

Clearly, I am not fit for making decisions involving sizable amounts of money.

I'll take a look, I didn't hang around on it too long because websites with music make me want to cut something.

Your Dad seems to know what he's talking about, he did pick a good rig and the graphics card was a let down as he thought.
Talk the graphics card solution over with him, and look at the other builds this seller offers, you could probably find a cheaper rig which cuts down on the RAM and HDD space, you don't really need 2TB or 16 GB for anything besides rendering and stuff like that, with the money you save you can then buy a better card to go with it

You seem to be missing the whole POUNDS thing here.
Shipping costs, shipping tax and the added VAT will be enormous, Pengie will end up paying way way more for a worse rig
