I have been a massive fan of Halo since the beginning, I'm going with Halo 4.
I have to say though, Black Ops II does look kind of cool, but all the trailers look cool when you first see them, so I'll have to pass.

i guess the fact the red ring is no longer an issue doesn't count as anything.

The red ring was caused by general hardware failure, such as overheating. All they added was a few more heat sinks to counter that. The actual hardware wasn't updated.

CoD actually went downhill after WaW, imo. Yeah, multiplayer was a bit stressful but the zombies and campaign were awesome.
