Author Topic: Pop - How often do you drink it?  (Read 5511 times)

One of the reasons I don't drink pop is because, say I'm thirsty. If I reach for the pop and drink, I'll be queched for about 5 mins. If drink water, I'll be sastifyed longer; I won't be thirsty again for a while.

Please, please, please explain this to me. This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard all day and earlier someone tried to tell me that THC is a dopamine agonist.

It just does. I don't know to what extent, but it does. It's been scientifically proven.

This is purely placebo effect. There is absolutely no reason why soda wouldn't keep your thirst quenched just as long as an equal amount of purified water.

It just doesn't. It hasn't been scientifically proven because that's a ridiculous hypothesis. I stated the chemicals in soda earlier. Please tell me which cloud mental processing. Because, as far as I can tell, it's been scientifically proven that sugar improves mental processes (more energy = more thinking) and water keeps you hydrated for dem thinking sessions. The other 5% of stuff in there doesn't have any effect on mental processing, I'll save you the scroll back.

Actually, I think that the carbonation or something in soda makes you thirsty sooner.

Too bad for him health wise?

CARBONATED WATER, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM BENZOATE (PRESERVATIVE), NATURAL FLAVORS, CARAMEL COLOR
Do you know what's in a lemon? Water, fructose, citric acid, natural flavors. You eat a stuff ton of sodium benzoate anyway, and the caramel color doesn't effect your health.
Well I never said it was terrible for you, but a lot of people seem to think it is.

an equal amount?

you'd need to drink more soda than water to get the same amount of hydration

I just don't prefer pop. Water is way more satisfying for me.
i'm the other way around
i don't like drinking water(without mio in it) at all but i really like coca cola and sprite and such

Sodium benzoate
Sodium benzoate.

Sodium.

There's salt in soda. That's why you don't get as much out of soda as you do water.

disregard i'm dumb

OT: I drink soda all the time. The taste doesn't really matter to me as long as it's not super stuffty.
I also can't stand flat soda. The flavour is designed to contemplate the tangy carbonated feel.

an equal amount?

The reason I said equal is because I meant the equivalent amount of water that there is per can. So, yes.

Sodium benzoate
Sodium benzoate.

Sodium.

Sodium is not salt. Sodium is a highly volatile metal that when placed in water will explode. Sodium Chloride is salt. Sodium Chloride is stable. Sodium Benzoate is not Sodium Chloride.

that's sickening : /
I know people have different taste buds, but I still don't understand why people say fast food is terrible. It's just fine to me, regardless of how unhealthy it is.

Oh. My mistake.

please change topic title to soda

Anywhere from 3 cans a day too once a month.

Depends, I usually go weeks without soda though.
