Because they have the same right to vent what makes them angry just as you have the right to have furry/pony avatars and talk about it without the government slamming you down.

I half-agree with OP. I don't really have a problem with people being bronies in public, but doing it in schools where they're guaranteed to be frowned upon for it is just dumb. My two friends who recently became bronies keep quoting Youtube Poops and pony references so I mostly keep away from them when they're in that mood. I don't want people to think I do those things too.

forget all that "it's got nice animation" and "the characters are good" stuff, that may be the case for others but in the end the reason I watch it because it makes me happy, and that's the only reason I need

I recently discovered that there were bronies in my school, who were a year higher than me. They seemed to do a great job about keeping it quiet, which would explain why I didn't find out until shortly after I left.
