why is everyone "sad"
he was old. plus none of you even knew him personally

He is the one that inspired me to want to become an astronaut, he is a hero that will forever live on in our hearts.

Let him rest a nice, peaceful eternity of...well...sleepiness.

It's sad when awesome people die.

he's a symbol of national pride
he's an inspiration.
he's one of only 12 people to ever walk on the moon.

I have this one book, it's one of those Scholastic school book fair books about Neil Armstrong. It talks about his childhood, he whole moon walk and all of that. I loved that book. It got me so inspired about space in general. I must've read that book a ton of times since I can remember many parts of it so well. I still love space. Nowadays, being an astronaut seems not that likely. But it would be the greatest thing ever to go to space. To go where few people have gone.

I haven't thought about that book in years though but when my brother told me about this today, I remembered all of it.

Rest in peace Neil Armstrong. Thanks.

yeah, it's not great. but I don't think it's sad, really
for example, when steve jobs died, I didn't feel happy. I'm not sure what I felt, but I do know that it wasn't sadness either

yes, he was very smart, and he was a very important part of human history
I do know that he will be missed, but nobody who wasn't a friend or family member of his should feel sad

You're right, "sad" isn't the correct word. But it's similar.

People take things different ways.

Its not like you can tell people not to be sad about something.

I myself, looked up to him. I would've loved to meet him, and I thought very highly of him. I'm saddened by his death, because we as people on Earth lost another brilliant man.
