Author Topic: Free Anti Virus  (Read 1247 times)

I'm pretty sure I specifically stated free. But you know, whatever..

I know what I'm doing and I am careful about where I go, what I download, what I click, etc.

But there will always be a that lurking doubt.
The only issues i've had was with viruses was when pop up adds from adfly and the like tried to auto download, i usually stop the download because the downloads manager pops up when anything downloads. Most, if not all of the viruses are for pc anyway, so it really doesn't matter for me.

I used to recommend Avast! but then they updated to some new orange theme and it looks like spyware. I uninstalled it and now I just go anti-virus free.

LOL

AVG, it's got a decent interface, and doesn't bug you for money.

When a file looks suspicious I just scan with Malware  bytes, and if it doesn't get detected I run it in sandboxie to see if it drops anything.

LOL
Unless you're going to shady Mac sites most viruses are for PC. To get a virus I'd probably have to click on some "speed up your Mac" banner add.
