Author Topic: my experience so far in fallout 2  (Read 1059 times)

I was informed that I needed 1,000 dollars to save some guy named vic that is important to the main story. Only problem is, I have no money. My instant thought was to start killing orphans. I managed to kick the stuff out of 5 and gain $300, then I kind of got bored so I went to some bar the owner called "The hole". I asked the bar owner why it was called that and he said something along the lines of "Why should I tell you?" I accidentally answered something like "I'll kill you if you don't", resulting in combat. He was easy to fight, I kicked him on the floor twice, but then it was the npc's turn. Four people came out of seemingly nowhere and started punching me to death, causing me to die. I clicked load save and realized I hadn't saved since before I killed the orphans. At this point I gave up. Fun stuff.

my experience with fallout 1 so far is "you need to find this thing but I can't tell you how to find it"

Not if you turn up the difficulty.

Not if you turn up the difficulty.
nf doesn't play on anything but "easy"
I wasn't complaining about being op

Not if you turn up the difficulty.

Turning up the difficulty just makes the AI impossible to kill, it doesn't make the game much harder, just more tedious.
Also just Chinese Stealth armor and all your problems are solved.

Any difficulty under hard is for pussies.

Fallout 1 and 2 are two of my favoritest games ever.

Pro tip: The orphans outside one of the bars in the game pick your pocket and take a random item from your inventory whenever you walk through the door. If you empty your entire inventory except for a C4, activate it for 20 seconds and walk through, they'll take the C4 and 20 seconds later they'll explode and all of their gibs will be scattered around the front of the store, with absolutely no consequence to you.

Also just Chinese Stealth armor and all your problems are solved.

>max energy weapons
>no scoping with gauss rifle does a million damage on a headshot
>oneshot supermutants on very hard difficulty

I hate the gauss rifle
like the only thing I still use from oa is the t-51b

I use the Mysterious Stranger's .44 magnum, Got to love console commands.
