reasons for names:
LG-14R, my first attempts at creating the laser were aimed at creating a stable laser beam itself that functioned correctly, it took some tinkering to finish it and after 14 renditions, i came up with the Laser Gun version 14 that would be used as a base for all the other laser weapons. the R means red. originally there was gonna be a version of each weapon for each color, such as a LG-14Y, LG-14G and so on, however this would have been a waste of space and the current set up allows players to identify their weapons easily from the last letter standing for the color, and the color standing for the gun
LSG-17Y, during the time when i first started the laser weapons, LG-5 period approximatley, i decided to try a "Plasma Shotgun" that would shoot chunks of goo, however i was soon frusturated at this, as it did not fit my overal laser idea and gave up on the idea of having a shotgun. at the time of LG-13R, i began making the LG-13Y to start my idea of colored guns, soon though i realised that a shotgun willl still be needed for a more involving dm experience. after the finishing of the LG-14R i went back to edit the LSG-14Y, or Laser ShotGun 14 as it was then called, for it was still based off of the LG series that ended at 14. Each major edit i did resulted in the LSG becoming better, after the testing of the LSG-16Y in Grimreapers server, it was identified that the QQ glitch shall be delt with, now the LSG-17Y is merely waiting its 3d form where it will then be put in the hands of eager blockheads
SR-18B, the sniper i originally thought would eb the easiest to do asnd expected it to be finished before it got past the SR-15B phase. However much tweaking was involved. It inculded a problem that the gun would not fire after being taken out soon enough to be effective, however the QQ glitch was still a problem, so eventually the delays were spaced so as to make sence and the final version, the SR-18B, the highest named number yet. SR merely stands for sniper rifle, as it would have been hard to distinguish LG and LR in the heat of a battle (most people might not even notice this however, but it was refreshing change)
ALR-17G, the most annoying of the weapons to finish. Immeadiatly after the sniper reached 17 i started the Automatic Laser Rifle series, the first edit took the bullet times from the Uzi gun, the second edit, the spread from ephi's shotgun. It was in ALR-16G that the trouble began. Early testing on my own server i first noticed that both the LSG and ALR had a pushback force, at first i thought this was a cool feature and left it. It was when i first beta-tested them that the problem arose. The shotgun's reload time made the pushback force merely an interesting addition, the high rapid shooting of the ALR however, effectivly rendered the gun as a jetpack, Grim was the first to notice this so hats off to him for catching it. In zombie mod, Grim used the gun, shooting at the ground, to hover over the city, a fine mist of green lasers beneath him, destroying all life.. or the undead at least, that wandered beneath him. I then racked my brain for basically up unil an hour ago, why would this gun be so annyoing. what in the shotgun spread could do thsi. i kept lookign over the answer but missing it, i knew the reason to. finally in a last ditch attempt i went to port my old spread script from LWP in RTB. thats when i noticed something missing in the older script. by removing that line of code, the ALR-17G is now finished
Proto-16, i actually started this gun during the process of dealing with the ALR. I decided that this feature was a great one. The proto-15 was based off of the code for the ALR-15G. When i updated the ALR to get rid of knockback, i updated this gun as well. The name is chosen for several reasons, 1 its based off of the proto type for the ALR, 2 it sounds cool and is a nice change from the two or three letter abbreviations, 3 it started with P whcihc would have gone at the end for purple
LC-16T, By far the easyest gun to make, first edit attempted to give it the explosion, the second edit changed fire rate, damage, and make the laser beam bigger. LC-16T means Laser Cannon version 16 turquoise. this gun was needed for the last gun, as the chasis was not used and i still had one last color to fill. I originally toyed with such an idea but couldnt find a way to make it fit into being a laser gun and eventually decided to recreate an inmaginary invention i came up with when i was 10, the solar powered laser bazooka. now it is basically that, without the solar powered
