The new Tron was a disney movie. That movie was badass!

Why does it seem that nobody knows of the original movie from 1982, which was just as good? (if not better IMO) which was also disney produced?

it felt a bit too childish, it felt to me like another generic disney show. I've only seen one episode so i might give it another shot later.
