If it's the same in 4 as Reach, the DMR is considerably more accurate. I believe it has less recoil, as well.
I'm not sure. I'm much more used to reach weapons, but 4 made some considerable differences in the feel of the weapons
the DMR still feels more accurate than both the magnum and the BR, tho

i like swat and all but its annoying to see the battle rifle come back, everyone i played against used it and just tapped the trigger as fast as possible

But that's the original SWAT :c

The battle rifle sucked and still does.

BUUUT, on the topic of SWAT, it seems as though the DMR is the better weapon.

This, but I also always use the DMR.

people who decide they're SO good they use the loving Magnum the ENTIRE loving GAME.
I hate them.
(if any of you do, I don't hate you, just respect you less.)

what's wrong with using a magnum? if it's a bad weapon, then it should be easy to kill them, and you should be grateful for it. if it's a good weapon, they're being strategic, and you may wanna follow their example

SPEAKING OF STRATEGY AND WEAPONS

What are you guys load-outs and playing styles?

I think im going to make up a few:

Sentry: "Excels in team-based objective games. Stays in the general area of the team objective and protects it with his life. Weapons vary."

Tank: "Tanks are straight forward attackers and push attacking enemies back. They're usual armaments are guns such as the Fuel-Rod Gun and Rocket Launcher."

All-Rounder: "These guys take up the majority of the team. They can do just about anything from sniping and objective capturing to providing vehicle support. Although, they don't excel at anything particular and specialist can out-do them any day. Can use a variety of weapons with average effectiveness."

Wheel-man: Wohoho, these guys are probably the best at using any type of vehicle there is. Only downside about them is that they are below average at foot-combat. They are usually complimented with an All-Rounder or Gunner."

Gunner: Gunners are the best friends of Wheel-men. They're usually on the turrets of hogs mowing down the unfortunate Lone-wolf Flag runner or the occasional Tank. On the ground, they function as All-Rounder and don't take too much care in their weapon choices.

Yeah thats all I got

I do whatever is most immediately required of me
and I usually use an AR in relatively close quarters, and a DMR otherwise

it just seriously bothers me when thats the only weapon they will use.
It's a sidearm, to be used when you're out of ammo on your primary or no time to reload.

Same thing except with either DMR or Storm Rifle.

#All-Rounder4life

i've found that the magnum actually really helps in close-quarter situations
