Author Topic: How do I make a dedicated server?  (Read 737 times)

Okay, I don't know how to make a dedicated server, but I asked people who have done it before, and I read other topics like this one and mostly people said "Look for dedicated.bat in your Blockland folder" so, I go there and I don't see it. What do I do?  :panda:

You can do one two things:

1.  Host a dedicated server off of your own computer.
How to do this:
1.  Copy and paste you Blockland shortcut.
2.  Right click on the new copied one and hit rename.  Call the new one "Dedicated Server".
3.  Right click on it again and hit properties. Erase the target:
C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe.
4.  Replace the target with this:
C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe -dedicated.
5.  Get onto Blockland.
6.  Start a server with all of the add-ons that you want the dedicated server to have.
7.  Get off of Blockland and start up your dedicated server.
8.  Get back onto Blockland and join your server (to do this, make sure that you query LAN, not internet).

2.  Host a dedicated server through a dedicated hosting service.
How to do this:
1.  Go to this topic: Dedicated Hosting Service
2.  Buy a five day trial.  If you don't like it, you get your money back.
3.  If you do like it, but it.
(I only recommend that you choose this one if your internet is REALLY slow.  If not, your internet should be able to handle a server on your own computer.)

I'll try and make a tutorial on this.
With pictures and everything!

Wait, for the first one people will be able to join the server or no?

^ obviously yes.

Dedicated server will load all addons. forget step 5 and 6.

You don't have to join through lan.

Tried but, doesn't work....  :panda:

I go to properties after i copy and paste it but, when i put in the new target  its says the target wasn't valid

Bump really need help
