But very few sites use Java, while many use Javascript. You don't need to completely disable Javascript to stop this exploit, just Java.
So.. It does have something to do with it.

Thanks. At least I can watch Youtube videos.

I used regular Java today and nothing bad has happened yet. I have an emergency reaction plan for my computer so I'm not worried.

firefox is ghey and doesn't support 64 bit java.

Your going about this the wrong way. What this exploit is, is a Java Drive By, essential it does whats said in OP. There is more ways to combat it than disabling java, you need to decline anything java related other than trusted companies and people etc.

What if it infects my car??????????????????????????

What if it infects my car??????????????????????????

You've probably haven't visited a site yet that requires you to run Java in your browser and prompt you to download the latest version from Oracle. Since I just built a new desktop, I haven't visited a lot of sites and haven't been prompted to do so either - so yes it's normal. Nothing is wrong with Chrome.

how do i disable it from chrome

Seriously?
Why don't you try reading the OP?

how do i disable it from chrome
In Chrome: Type in: "chrome://plugins/" into the address bar (no speech marks). Scroll down to Java and click disable.
