Author Topic: Which finger do you put on the SHIFT key?  (Read 2142 times)

I put my thumb on the shift button, recently I found out that I am not suppose to do this (by my dad), who says the pinky is suppose to press shift and the thumb goes on the spacebar. (I use my index for space bar, I tilt my hand to left and put my thumb on shift and index on spacebar, sometimes I use my thumb. I find this the easiest way but now I am trying to get my pinky to go on shift since I think thats the "correct" way of doing it.)

Which finger do you use for the shift key?

the longest one

the thickest one

i don't see how i'm supposed to use anything other than my pinky without flipping my entire hand over

I use my pinkie and thumb like your dad, you unnatural monster!

i use the sides of my pinky/ring finger with my pointer on w and my palm on space, thumb on d

It depends on the position.

Ive always used my thumb, I still type fast. I hardly use my pinky at all I think.

Pinky because i only use right-shift. forget left-shift (sorry)
holding shift with other pinky is weird, Though.
