Author Topic: Duplorcator, the duplicator replacement (v2.0- Client loading)  (Read 52350 times)

Can you make something like duplication cubes
You place a cube/whatever and every brick that is COMPLETELY inside the cube will be duplicated
That would be really useful

Yeah I don't think saving and loading works right. Using the commands supposedly saves, but /loaddup doesn't seem to be working a lot of the time.
Also sometime can you update this with actual BLS saving? That would be a thousand times easier imo

I guess I didn't explain what i was thinking...
I have the same problem whenever it comes to speaking my mind. I just do not word things to well either.

And it would make the ridiculous amounts of dupsaves from the old duplicator actually usable.

Use the /savedup and /loaddup commands.
No, that's what I mean. /SAVEDUP and /LOADDUP DO NOT WORK AT ALL. Please fix this as soon as possible because it was the best feature of the duplicator(asides from actually duplicating)

Horizontal mirroring would be an incredible time saver.

Edit: There is definitely something very wrong with the ghosting mechanics.

3k bricks, 1 brick to ghost: dupe the build, ghosting takes around 3 minutes during which I get around 1 frame every 10 seconds.

Planting: Around 5 minutes of insanely low framerate, wait it out, 10 minutes later still lagging to death but visually it seems all bricks are there. Keep pressing the numpad 0 hoping one signal will get through. As soon as it does I get +200 FPS and all bricks are there. Player is permanently stuck in the brick planting animations (looks like a seizure, it plays the animation every ~20ms), Self Delete does not cancel the animation. Disconnecting and reconnecting works. I'm on my own internet server.

Sometimes I can dupe the build just fine in just ~1 minute, but the planting just kills of FPS. Sometimes the planting is fine and duping destroys my framerate.

Edit2: trace(1), causes an infinite loop even with default add-ons. Even though the old duplicator had errors, messier code, and not as fancy features, it worked 100% and was fast. I've yet to successfully dupe more than 1k bricks with Duplorcator.

Pretty much this same experience just happened to me, only it was 4k bricks and took much longer.

Vertical mirroring would be cool too.

Just tried duplicating 5k bricks on my dedicated server, and the whole thing crashed.
Lucky I saved before hand.
Where might I find the old duplicator?

up your ass.

Give me time I'll work it out today. Be useful and send me a console log next time you complain with no support.

Here have a 27mb console log with the infinite loop crash traced. I forcibly closed the console window at the end.

Well apparently it isn't even an infinite loop. The saving of duplications is just really slow. Ill refine it later today

I didn't save anything. I duped Jetpuff towers and tried to plant it elsewhere.

Yes, i know. But duplicating creates a copy of all the bricks so you can clear what you duplicated.
