Author Topic: Blockland on Steam Greenlight?  (Read 9818 times)

Now that Steam Greenlight has launched, do you think we'll be able to see Blockland on there?

Personally I'd be all for it, increasing the community for the game and bringing it some much needed publicity

And bring (possibly) more idiotic people, too.

Good idea otherwise!

Many things would have to be changed. Coding, Rules, Badspot may not even be allowed to update certain things. Have you ever read why Notch never put Minecraft on Steam?

Sorry, but this would be a terrible idea in my opinion. It would bring tons of idiots and handicaps to the game and I like our game's small community.

This is a great idea, except for being limited on updates and stuff.... I would like to see a few thousand new players around here. Sucks for the 'tards who think we're gonna get a stuffton of idiots. Newb does not equal Idiot.

I don't mind getting more players, I mean hey who wouldn't, but I just don't want blockland's usercount turning into something like tf2's where there's 0 chance of getting in a word edgewise to anyone in the server, because I really don't like that.

With the way that the BL auth system works it really wouldn't be a good idea

hasn't there been a topic on this?

each of the mentioned points have been said before.

I like a small community better but if it would help Badspot get more income then sure.

The quality of this game feels like a $40 dollar game instead of $20 imo.

$40 my ass no. i think it would go well with a larger community, but steam restrictions would certainly slowdown any needed updates.

I'd really like this to be seen on there, we could all vote and get it up.
I just wish badspot would do it

ps add a pole

Steam would download the launcher and use that instead so updates work like they do now
