Author Topic: Do you hate your computer?  (Read 2032 times)

I hate mine so bad. No matter how good it is.

It died on me this morning and I spent all day taking it apart and  putting it back together like 3 times until I found out that for some reason when my GPU moves around a little in there it creates a bug and makes my motherboard not recognize it giving me a "No signal" message on my monitor.

I found out way to late that I just had to take out the graphic card. Boot it up until it warns me with beeps that there is no GPU in. Shut it down and put the GPU back in. forget you Nvidia.

I don't necessarily like it from a technical standpoint, but my lil' girl has been nothing but good to me. Except how it won't shut down unless I unplug it.

get a better gpu

Why? GTS 250 is good enough for me. I also have another spare GTS 250 that I don't use (can't sli) and I tried that and it still didn't work for that "bug".

My motherboard is at fault here. I need one where I can sli 2 GPU's.

get a better motherboard

If my computer was a woman I would marry it.

My computer and laptop are both pretty hot.

If my computer was a woman I would marry it.

My PC specs;
Core 2 Quad q6600
4GB DDR2 RAM
GTS 250
600W PSU

My Laptop specs;
i7-2670QM
8GB DDR2? DDR3 RAM
A stuffty GT 525M <--- Horrible for gaming.

Due to my over-powered i7 the laptop overheats (it's brand new) when playing games and then dies. So I can't game on it :(

I even have a cooling pad. Still doesn't do jack stuff.

No I mean they both kick ass.  My laptop doesn't hit higher than maybe 80 C when doing intensive 3D.  Even so, it's normal.
