Author Topic: Why the heck does every Medieval RPG die down?  (Read 562 times)

/title

Okay, so I've noticed lots and lots of Medieval RPG's die down like crazy. Example:

StoneQuest (it had GUI, everything) then when V21 came out, they're like "ohhey don't fel liek mking reel map!" It would be sooooooooo easy to make a good looking and fun Medieval RPG.

I've also noticed Medieval RPG's lack in many things:

Quests

Awards

Guilds

Actual ability to roam and do what you want

Magic

-

They get all excited and then drop out 4-5 months later.

Jorgur's Medieval RPG, it was really fun, but then again everyone relied on Terrain. Which again, they apparently cannot make a Brick built map.

lots of DRPG's actually don't last long.

Swords of the north looks good, they seem to have some good idea's.

but again, it might die down.

Lots of other RPG's are having issues with like:

Story lines

Quests

NPC's

Nice and efficient builds.

/discuss if I am crazy or not.

because people are lazy.

I've seen awards, guilds, and magic, and somewhat ability to roam.

But things like quests and such are no easy task to make in torque.

because making one can be very difficult and stressful. especially when you've got inpending issues such as brickcount and lag. atm proper quests cannot be made without a new bot events that doesn't screw up after 1 bl update.
