Author Topic: Marijuana Legalization  (Read 8321 times)

Theres a reason drugs are illigal, because they are bad , addicting, and most importantly, can affect peoples lives.
Have you ever been walking down a street or under a bridge and noticed a homeless person? Most of the time, those people were the potheads, and the other usually drug addicts.
People will try to flame this comment because they think it's "Not True". Well it is, defending the use of pot is a usual sign of being addicted.

oh god you are so loving stupid pot is not ad-
oh wait

sorry i didn't notice your name
haha almost got me

people that defend pot:
  • potheads
  • .

Con: it's a loving neurotoxin

Too bad it slowly kills you. Have fun telling me it's harmless!

It's illegal for a reason.

I have never smoked marijuana or used any other drug in my entire lifetime besides OTC pharmaceuticals and caffeine.

Here's the problem with your reasoning:

Those people became addicts while marijuana/whatever was illegal.
These anti-drug laws do absolutely nothing but throw people in jail who have forgeted up lives. If you care so much about people affected by drugs, lobby for publicly accessible drug rehab centers.

I've seen a group of potheads before. They're the most unproductive, lazy people I've ever seen in my life. Luckily, only one is stupid enough to even want to do anything else aside from pot and prescription pills.

And they are potheads despite the fact the drug is illegal. How would making it legal change anything?

More people would be inclined to do it, have easier assess. I would assume that it would cause more people to do it if it was more accessible, whether or not that's okay is the question I suppose.

Cool story, I know tons and tons of people that smoke weed and are leading full and successful lives.
Just like I know lots of people who drink a lot and lead normal lives.
But I know people who smoke weed and do nothing with their lives. They live to get stoned.
And I know people who drink a lot and jepordise their family and life.

Look, alcohol and weed are similar in the way that they can both ruin lives. And usually marijuana more because it's (a) not educated about in schools properly. (b) you can get loving weed anywhere. There's no age limit.

i wouldn't mind really if marijuana was legal, but smoking anything in public should be illegal

Cons:
  • People Smoking it in the street and doing stupid stuff.
  • Smoking Marijuana While driving = even more car crashes
  • People smoking out on the streets will stink up the place
  • A New type of underage smoking
  • Pot Parties = A conjoined group of people doing handicapped stuff
  • People stealing, doing anything just to buy marijuana
  • More publicity and the fact it would be sold in stores = angry drug dealers

I made a longer list but I shortened it down.
It would be good for it to be used for medical purposes only, of course that's already being done though.

Obama isn't going to legalize Marajuana at this point in his term. Considering that the vast majority of vot-ers are still against it, his campaign would be over.

History review kids! Prohibition occurred from 1920 to 1933

The rate of alcohol consumption compared to pre prohibition data fell 30% but then rapidly went up 60-70%. Your conclusion is historically incorrect.
