WIP: Classic TARDIS

I've seen a ton of attempts at newer TARDISes, but I don't think I've ever seen anybody tackle the good ol' police box from the classic series, so I decided to give it a shot.

Well, I want to see if I can eke out a little more detail from the outside model.  It might get a little bigger, so I can fit a teledoor inside it, and link it up to the control room.

The awesome thing is that this is really economical on bricks so far- the control room is 361 bricks and fits exactly on a 32x baseplate.  The police box is 31 bricks, but as I said, I may rework it and scale it up slightly.

Since it is so light on brick count, I'm thinking of also adding the original cloister bell.

Personal tastes would be the short answer.

There's a little proof of concept in here, too, though.  I wanted to show off that an octagon works much better for the control room than a square, since we can't really do hexagons.

On topic: For what it is, it seems small and bland. Its not bad, I just don't like it.

I don't like it as much.

May I suggest using the upright print plate pack, it has elements that could be of some use to you.  There is also a print, I forget what pack, that has a piece of paper with words on it that would look really good on the front as the intructions on the box.

We need a "Police Box" print.
