Author Topic: I hate to say it, but Blockland is losing players for no reason.  (Read 2467 times)

Last time someone said this, it was jirue, and he got banned for it.
oh noes! :O

Just because we lost about 0 - 100 stupid kids it doesn't mean Blockland is doomed. Would you go 'my neighbourhood is doomed' after the fat change fearing poor jackasses moved away? I wouldn't. Because you're shout 'blockland is doomed' doesn't provide explanation you could take any word from a dictionary and slap it after 'blockland is'. Blockland is pancakes! It makes as much sense what you said does or doesn't.

i was making a reference to kompressor dummy

I bought a new $40 video card just for shaders lol.
With about 5000 bricks, none transparent, and 60 emitters, I get 40 FPS on Very high.
With 20000 bricks, 1000-2000 emitters, and 7500 transparent bricks, I'm forced to turn my shaders down to Minimum. At Low it is 17 FPS but at Minimum it is 80 FPS .
Shadows and emitters seriously affects the graphics card's performance, and transparent bricks also contribute.

But this is WAY better than when I had no video card at all.

What on earth are you on about? Summer is ending in American, and a lot of users probably don't have as much time for video games now.

And not all old players are leaving/left? I've been playing since around 2005.

Same response as has popped up throughout the last 4 pages: What? No.

Summer is ending, so that counts as a massive percentage of the absentees during certain times of the day until around Christmas.
The Shadows and Shaders are entirely optional, and the game isn't any worse without them.
Anyone who is leaving clearly relied on terrains to make the game fun and therefore shouldn't really have purchased a game primarily focussed on building.
Anyone who can't see the S/S is probably checking every day for an update from Badspot as to whether he'll add support for everyone's pathetic graphics cards (me included).
The FPS without S/S has increased. The FPS with them has increased each new revision.

In short: Anyone who leaves is stupid.

my older brother was going to buy it cause it had un ending maps but after he heard about them being removed he didnt care about it any more
