THE TRAILER PARK
A bluzone competetion entry by Megaguy and Bloodthirster.

A group of 4 came across a abandoned trailer park. They began to use it as a long time settlement, blocking off exits beside the fenced off "Scrapyard" area with large rocks so no infected can get in. The car park was also blocked off to stop the large presence of zeds in that area.

More and more survivors were becoming aware of their group's power and possesion of actual electricity and decent living conditions, joining them.

They began to write notes, detailing things, and burning them at the last week of the month. They began to chicken out, as they began finding alot of military presence on their scavenging sessions. Some survivors in their little group began to run away, as the leaders got increasingly agitated and mad with power.

Eventually, they all died. It's unknown why, but their notes from the month before the incident that finally got rid of their group remain. Some members managed to escape, among them, Ron Fowler, who moved on to become a boss of his own small group.

This has had a...troubled course of development. Crashes, parent issues and an entire day's progress being lost, We still pressed on. 3 weeks later, what you see above is the final product.
But we're here to talk about beta content, right?

This build was originally a generic farm. We gave up after realizing that it was already being done and that kniaz didn't approve of the concept.

That blue trailer was one of the earliest ever built. Very minor changes were done on it, and it's interior underwent several revisions. One idea I had was to put in a bathtub! I decided against it, however.

As with everything, the plants around the area came with several challenges. The first thing we did was put in the plants. Was lost after a save corruption on the second day, meaning we had to remake them.

Our central area was the hardest thing to do. We had to give players a reason to want to vist this place, and in the end we achieved that by most of the item spawns being around that area. Most people purely explore areas to obtain their inventories, before setting off to interact with others.

Surprisingly, the thing I remember changing most was the dumpsters. See the Silliness section.

Several easter eggs were dummied out. A few remain.

A few messages were changed to be less offensive. One of them can be seen in the Silliness section. The other change had to do with the wheelchair-man official drink product vending machine.

That's it. If this is accepted into the bluzone, you'll be able to read all the notes and stuff. If it doesn't, I'll just give the save out here for you guys to see.

ratings accepted.

I was kidding, they don't.

Here's two fullsize silliness screenshots i didn't feel like editing.

Lol. Nice RV Park.

Poor Blood, he ded.

Something you may not notice- the only place here that hasn't had its tires stolen is the food caravan.

I love town builds, especially quirky ones with a certain gimmick or charm to them like this one. Quite spooky though, with the lack of people and the backstory.

I agree, town builds are pretty great.

Fun tymes were had during the building as evidenced by the silliness section. c:

We need to get another project and shiz.

Oh stuff…

I killed Ron Fowler…

Yep!

Not like that ruins anything, though. He formed his own group.

The Cobras?

The Cobras?
Ron Fowler is an unoriginal bastard. The notes in this camp actually have little snake drawings at the bottom. One of them confirms this is indeed their logo, so I guess Ron named his group in tribute to this old one.

Very cool.
I hope this brings about the Cobras as a conflict…

Who knows. If this is implemented, it's going to be abandoned, like gammaton, and it's pretty clear that no one cares about it anymore, not even the military, who forced the small gang out.

So its a camping area or what?
