Let's say the second song fits the mood much better.

what is the mood? I've never played Pokemon anywhere past like getting to some building and needing to go through some cave idefk, but the point is I haven't ever played it enough to know

I kind of like it. As long as the beat is good and catchy, it works. As soon as I heard the music, I had the sudden urge to heard the Team Plasma Battle music from the first game. If I wasn't into the games for the pokemon, it'd be for the music.

theory:

y'know how in mother 3, theres a huge island?

well, theres also creatures know as "chimeras"

they basically use "psi" which is "like" magic, and also are mutants of normal creatures such as dogs and pigs

well, in the ending of mother 3, said island was "destroyed" which in my guess means separated, into smaller islands, and these "islands" are now the islands in the pokemon series, and the chimera had evolved to "pokemen" in said islands, whom use "pp" aka poke power which is really psi, and mew is really a descendant of gigue/giygas

holy stuff

It's true that the Mother/Earthbound series has a lot of connections to Pokemon, I believe that many of Ape.Inc's employees moved on to Game Freak some time in the 90's.
But this is a pretty dumb theory as Mother 3 was made after the first few pokemon games.

ssbu will definitely use b&w1's final boss theme
seems so super smash brothery

I don't mind the new sound track. It doesn't sound as evil as B/W's music which you linked to, but the point is less about being evil, and more about being exhilerating.

Plus, I'd agree with Night Fox. We don't know the context of that music sound track. I don't know who the fellow is who it's against or what he has done or does, or even when you fight him, which can make a difference in the intensity of the battle music.

I'm still gonna get it when it releases in Europe though.

And I actually really really want a Gen 6 game to come out, just so I can see it incorporated onto the 3DS...
Mind you, that's if they ever consider it worthwhile. 3DS sales aren't especially big, and Pokemon sells well, so they might just stick to the DS/DSi, since it's safer.
Aaaand I've still gotta wait for them to release B/W2 and then, if they decide to do it, the Gen V remake of Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald, which I will also look forward to, as I loved Gen 3, since it was my first Pokemon game that wasn't a hand-me-down from my older brother.

s/r/e remakes, eh? what do you suppose they'll call those? they're already colours and most of the elements have already been used in other names

It'll have to be some sort of slight change to the original name, like with the other remakes.

Red and Green (Blue), became FireRed and LeafGreen.

Gold and Silver, became HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Ruby and Sapphire would likely have some new name that incorporates their old.

I'd be more interested in what they would call any Generation 6 games if they decide to make them.

There are many names they could choose; Amethyst, Stone, Onyx, Topaz, Brown, Grey, Pink, Orange, Purple, just to name a few.

True. I'd be curious as to how the names link in to the games too, or how they would make them, since all previous titles relate to the game in some way.

Red/Blue/Green/Yellow - Reference to the 4 starter pokemon available in the Gen 1 games. (Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu)

Gold/Silver/Crystal - In Reference to the legendary pokemon, Ho-oh and Lugia and Suicune.

Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald - In Reference to the legendary pokemon, Groudon and Kyogre and Rayquaza, as well as referencing (via colour) the concept of Sea/Ground/Air, making a big part of the game.

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum - In Reference to the legendary pokemon, Dialga and Palkia and Giratina.

Black/White & Black/White2- In Reference to the legendary pokemon, Zekrom and Reshiram and Black/White Kyurem, as well as the key concept of Yin Yang that plays as the theme of the game.

I'm sure they'll come up with something new and exciting that works, and I've no doubt they've probably already got people working on ideas and designs.
