TL;DR they're tired of "scam" games so they decided to take money and give it to child's play

if you can't raise the $100 to get on Greenlight, it's unlikely you have the ability to support your game after launch on Steam.
This.

don't they already make tons of dosh (money) by selling the games on steam? or am i being completely dumb and valve and steam are two different things.

and steam contradicts its own "open for any and all developers!" line
they could do a weekly moderation to purge any dead leaves off the game pool but charging motherloving $100 why the hell

100 dollars seems completely reasonable, it's donated to charity too.

So does this mean no Blockland?

it was because people started uploading stuff games and erotic material
they had to do something guys
seriously
unless you expect to make profit by greenlighting it, you really have no reason to be using it
it's the perfect plan

So does this mean no Blockland?

i'm sure badspot has more than 100 dollars

How old are you that you think 100 dollars is a lot

There should be a vote on how many people want Blockland on Greenlight.
