When a note is picked up, Renderman is incredibly aggressive and targets 1/8th of the players.
ie: on a server with 16 players, after the first note is picked up, two players will be hunted and most likely killed.

third page, another two,
fourth, fifth. sixth, so there are roughly only four people left to find paper 8
when paper 8 is found, all remaining players (4-1) must run to a van at the start, while renderman targets them all in a final struggle.
no flashlights except for maybe van headlights and campfires.
