Author Topic: Lucid Dream Showdown  (Read 2079 times)

I do have a weird dream I remember... It was an apocalypse dream, then I woke up in my bed... But then the apocalypse started again!! What a twist! Then I woke up in my RV and realized I was on a camping trip.

Dreams are basically loveual fantasies for me.

The best dreams are the ones that make you go "Noo :c" when you wake up. That always happens to the ones I actually remember, they're usually filled with pure awesome and not just loveual fantasy after loveual fantasy.

Remind me to never meet Freek in real life.

I read up how to start having lucid dreams, but the only problem is, what if I accidentally think I'm dreaming but it's real life? Its really unlikely but I've been sort of paranoid ever since I saw that lucid dream episode of American dad lol. Also, when do they end?

Pinch yourself, if you are hurt by the pinch you are not dreaming.

Look at yourself in the mirror, look away, remember that image, and look back. If the image is different, you are dreaming.

If you keep giving yourself these little reminders then subconsciously your brain will ask those questions and you will remember if you are dreaming or not. It takes a long while though, to "master" the art of lucid dreaming.

Ok, useful tips, but do the dreams end on their own, or do you have to manually end it or something?

But I'm nice, except in dreams.

Depends, actually.

Sometimes it just ends. A lot of the times when I'm having a nightmare, I can force myself out of the dream, it's really weird but useful :P

I write down all my epic dreams. :)

Have you ever instead of just not going to sleep because of scary things, but tryed to lucid dream and have a showdown with your fears?
Just a thought.

Well for one it is extremely common for people to use lucid dreaming to control nightmares.

As for conquering fears though, I've read many dream journals of people who attempt to better themselves via lucid dreaming. For example, people who are scared of social situations, so they have a lucid dream they are making a speech to thousands of people.

Its an interesting idea. Dunno how effective it is.
