Author Topic: Invisible Water Glitch?  (Read 521 times)

Hello.

I've been playing Blockland recently and was making an island build with water from the game environment surrounding it.

I heightened the water around the world to the level I wanted and I went to changing the colours of the water, it's underwater colour and the floor colour.

I've been using the dirt ground texture, painted slightly yellow. When I add Water to it, if I change the transparency of the water (not the underwater), I can see through it slightly as I should be, and it maintains it's colour.

However, at certain angles, the water appears to turn almost entirely transparent and I can see the pure colour of the ground underneath. When this happens, if I turn my character around and such the water will very quickly flash between the different colours.
If I get this, the only parts where the water colour remains normal is any water that is over bricks.

If I turn the colour of the water to have no transparency at all, then I have no issues. But this doesn't create the look I want.
So, I was wondering if there is any way to stop this from happening, or will I just have to put up with it, or use non-transparent water?

I also hope that I haven't missed any other topics where this has come up. I had a quick look but didn't seem to find any.

My in-game options are;
Texture Quality: Best
Shader Quality: High

Bump.
Sorry, but I would really like a fix to this, or atleast some sort of confirmation that it'll end up being fixed?

You have made the ground partially transparent.  Don't do that.
