doing that in general is dumb and irrelevant
for example, and for the example, assume they weren't discussing anything dealing with what they called them:
"shut up woman"
"get out of the way, monday" (to someone who is actually black)
"quit it, handicap" (to someone who is actually mentally disabled)
"leave me alone furcigarette"
"what are you doing, friend" (to someone who is actually gay)

do any of these seem at all okay to anyone? I'd hope not

Also something made me think of this sophomore in my freshman science class (because she failed the class as a freshman). The first day of class she made it very clear to everyone that she was a sophomore and she hates all freshman and to never bother her, and I said something along the lines of "well maybe you should have passed this class the first time you took it then"

yeah honestly a lot of us did last year
the problem with high school social stuff is that usually there's a group that generally feels superior to another group or groups, including freshmen
freshmen think they're cool as forget because they're in high school now
sophomores think they're great because they aren't the bottom of the food chain anymore
juniors... well idk
seniors think they're the stuff because they're graduating soon
and then there are all the other groups, like band students and football players etc
it's really stupid and annoying but what are you gonna do
