you cigarettes dont need a phone to play video games on, you need a phone to call people or text someone.
get a weel phone.

lol no

Droid app store is the most mundane and boring app store I've ever seen. Its all about the apps and Android ain't favorable with developers yet. Some developers are dropping their Android apps because it isn't making money.

You don't spend several hundred dollars on a phone just to look at it.

last time i checked apple doesn't exactly like the little guys

not to mention the dangerous conditions they make the devices at

All the top apps are stupid, lol.

Not saying Android is any better, but the best selling stuff the app store has to offer really sucks.

Who do you mean when you say "little guys"? Do you mean startup / indie app developers or?

Seventh, what people choose to download in the last few weeks doesn't reflect the content in the app store. You have to look further than your front door to find the apps you want.

All good apps eventually recede in popularity. Even the original Angry Birds is slowly moving down the charts because people have got it out of their system.

Paid apps are always that little bit nicer anyhow:

I don't have a phone

When the majority of people are downloading stuff, what does that have to say about the accessibility of good content?

Angry Birds isn't even a good app. It is a castle destroying game that is worse than almost every one on the internet, and it costs money.

The paid apps page you just linked me to is the literal equivalent of Armorgames.com except it costs money.

Maybe I'm not seeing the quality here...

I don't believe that. Tools like Keynote, Numbers, and pages are brilliantly done. Bewjeweled and Angry Birds are classics. Fruit Ninja and Plants vs Zombies are big hits. I could go on.

But if that is the case then you are going to really struggle to enjoy the Android apps tore.

Nothing, people get what they want.

Seems the top free apps are mostly social media tools, random games, VLC media player is there and I think I saw the odd dictionary and camera app. What is the problem lol?

Contradicting your argument right here. One out of five is an indie dev, and all the others made it big in other industries.

They cost money, and you're better off with some destitute-tier netbook running Flash

I still don't get what you are talking about, what does indie devs have to do with a quality app store?

Lol ridiculous.

Let me guess, you think Linux is the answer to the future, and you thought Zune was a worthy opponent to the iPod. Gimme a break, don't be one of those people who stubbornly obtains the crappier option just to make a stand.

I find the iOS app store to be highly quality. I love novelty apps. Koi Pond and Distant Shore are lovely apps. Donut Games released some really nice (indie) apps which I own, all arcade style. Pocket God is a fun toy. iBeer is a fun toy. I've got a few crossword and wordfind apps that keep my busy on the bus. Implode is a great physics game. Chuzzle is a classic. Got an app to track buses in my city real-time. Got the odd drawing app. Have Skype of course. So much variety.

Everything I need is there and more. Very satisfied.
