We should have Big Red cut the wire.

Or we could sacrifice Gordon as he really didn't have his stuff together on this particular mission.

Big Red should cut the wire, the pilot needs to accelerate really quickly to provide some space as soon as the wire is cut, and then Tippy should fire an EMP grenade when they gain enough distance.

And Jenn could take potshots from the ship at the Cardalonian, idk.

In defense of Gordon, he is a engineer and not a soldier so it is totally normal to freak out under such conditions. Maybe the robot wants to talk to us? Or just kill us and take it's stuff back.

Also if it follows the shuttle home can we keep it?

yeah actually that's a great idea

emp the stuff out of it so its permanently turned off and we can reprogram it
or, optionally, stick a "turn on" wireless mechanism onto it, then plant it in some iconian ship and turn it on

Cardalonians are organic internally. So reprogramming is out of the question. Nice thought though.

So is it like a power armor or some Dalek like thingy?

Extremely heavy grade power armor. Cardalonians are actually Octipi

cardalonians are sounding more and more op

can we still emp them so that their armor permanently shuts off? the "turn on and wreak havok" thing would still work.

They're only OP if you don't know how to Kill them.

Their suits function by adaptation, so another EMP would be even less effective the second time around.

We're running out of options. I would strongly recommend dropping a larger payload. I strongly recommend that we ram the cardalonian in reverse.

is it by blunt trauma? my bet is that you need to handle the organism inside, not the robot outside.
hm...

follow the expert's opinion: thruster in robot face then.

We need their one weakness: a half-naked schoolgirl  :cookieMonster:

But what if it isnt into that kind of stuff?

Commit ritual seppuku. All of you.

Shift into reverse and run over the cardalonian, hopefully yanking the rope-arm off.

It looks dead, but you can't be sure.

Quick, book it before the squid-bot starts constricting again
