Is it plausible in this universe to add more power to your shields? I mean if they have a stronger arsenal, they have to lack either in ammunition supplies or have some sort of drawback. If they have stronger guns but weaker shields it's only a matter of holding out longer than them then tear them apart using your weapons after their shield is down.

The Iconians, although they have better weapons and defenses, have ships which are rather slow, and most of their captains are seemingly less experienced than a human admiral, although it is unknown as to why this is.

You drop off the crew at one of the other asteroid bases and have them pay a rescue fine of $100.
