Have Cpt. Mace chop off the talon of that Toraai reaching through the door.
Have David throw the näd.
Have someone (anyone) disable the toraai's weapon (knocking it out of his hands or something, I dunno)

David throws the grenade and it explodes on impact. A gas cloud envelops both toraai, and although the effects of it are known only to David, it seems to stun the gun drone and slow the other. The captain cuts off the claw, and it falls to the ground as something screeches on the other side of the door. Everyone else can't fire at the toraai, since they are enveloped in gas.

I just thought of this. If its a gas cloud there is probably a chance that it is combustable. Have Tippy use an explosive from here bandolieer to combust the cloud.
