Surprised by the heat generated by it, you throw the artifact behind you, and it lands in the center of the group.




As it gets closer to the eldritches, it begins to spark and fills them with red energy, causing them to burst and explode. The reaction propels the artifact forwards and out of the cave entrance.

As you bend down to pick up the stone(which is cooled off by now), you hear the somewhat-familiar whirring of power armor and the whine of five blast cannons charging up. Sure enough, as you look up, you find the party surrounded by five iconian soldiers, who had supposedly been waiting to ambush you.
