Title says it all. The US FBI is unrolling a 1 Billion American Dollars facial recognition system on the internet to keep on adding to their database of knowledge that they have on what I assume is mainly only US citizens, but I'm sure they use it to spy on other countries too.

If i need to get away from the government i'm not going to do it in the country of the government i'm hiding from, them having this facial recognition stuff does nothing if the people they are looking for will never even come in contact with the software.
