Had my firearms safety course today. Applying for my FID asap.

So I spent all today at a firearms safety course.
My sister and I went. For me it was more of a refresher course and for my sister it was totally new.

We both aced the quiz and then we went out to the firing range.

I got to fire a .45 semi-auto, a .44 magnum , .357 magnum, 38 special and 2 twelve gauges.

This is the first time I've officially fired a weapon. Since I passed this course I just have to apply to get my FID.

neat does that mean you can go purchase weapons and then prop them up on your fireplace and never use them??

i thought it was cool because this is the first time I shot a larger firearm that a .22

i would imagine firearms saftey tests are really dumb and easy to pass.
like: "where do you point your gun? a) at your friend b) at your mom c) at the lifeless target"

Yea it was super easy because it was the basic firearm safety course

Is it bad they're offering this course because you could become criminally minded and go and kill the teachers and nobody could teach gun safety and handling anymore?

I'm pretty sure its more like how to aim, point, unjam, clear the weapon of the projectile, and how to secure the weapon and lock it away safely.

While I actually expected it because right before I shot the .44 Magnum which surprised me.

Weird.

Must've been my munitions because i remember the revolver overpowering the magnum by a lot.

Whateves, guns are the best.
