To be fair, pretentious diction is easily the most blatant imitation of intelligence there is. Speaking plainly is generally better than loading your sentences down with thesaurus'd words that people are gonna have to look up.

An accusation != the simple presentation of one's opinion.  You accused me of trying to act smart, you didn't simply display that that was your thought process.  However, if you want to choose to believe this standard, then my comment is just as harmless as yours.
