So me being a freshman have been having a pretty decent experience so far and have a few 10th and 11th grade friends. I have seen a bunch of posts about how everyone treats freshman like richards and stuff but I decided to make a post in the off topic section so I thought to make it useful. This will reduce the amount of stuff you get from upper class men but it also requires respect. I for one have not gotten one tiny bit of stuff from upper class men and freshman alike but I guess its just my luck. But I follow these rules to  avoid pissing of people, upper class and freshman alike
1. Walk on the right loving side of everything!

This is crucial! It pisses of people when you walk on the left blocking people and bumping into them. This includes staircases
2. Don't stand in walk ways


Hanging out or waiting in the middle of a stair case or hallway pisses everyone off and its pointless.
3. Don't be a slowpoke

This counts for buying food, checking out books and especially walking. Walk fast and stay on the far right if you are going to walk slow
4. Don't being annoying in general

This includes throwing things etc. Anyone in general gets pissed of by this so don't do it
5. Don't be rude

This counts for everyone doesn't matter who it is. Being a richard is what starts beef
6. Respect upper class men

This doesn't mean like kissing there asses this just means not to be annoying or a richard to them. This also includes everyone else. Don't act like you are hot stuff and the world revolves around you. People don't want to hang around someone like that.
7. Walk straight and tall

Maintain a good posture when you walk because if you stoop over you tend to be a target for an upper class man that is just a richard no matter what
Conclusion

That is pretty much it. Obviously use common sense because that is a no brainer. Criticize, discuss or add to the list in your replies.

Didn't do any of this because i'm friends with all the upperclassmen who have "Power" over the others.

If your school does Freshman Friday (where freshmen get beat up) the best thing is to inform the pricinpcal of such an event. They really wont take kindly to this. Also make friends who aren't freshmen, so they can back you up. Another great thing to do is bring an apple and a blade with you. When you see seniors looking to beat you, pull out your blade and apple, cut at the apple's skin and eat, it makes you seem innocent but also advertises that you have a blade so they dont forget with you

Nothing bad every happened when I was new to highschool, guess I was lucky or something?
I don't often forget with them either, except if they are being annoying or acting like tough stuff because they aren't in grade school anymore.

Yeah, it is sort of a human nature thing that goes on in school like way back when we were in 6th grade then to 8th grade. But I don't act like a total douche and think I'm better than everyone else especially to upper class men so thats mainly why I don't piss people off
