I feel sorry for this dog :(

The dog saved his suicidal owner's life, dragging him to saftey, though the dog couldn't avoid being hit. Its the owners fault, though. He drank a bottle of alcohol and passed out on the train tracks, and the dog selflessly saved him.

read this with a sad song playing

how touching

read this with I like trains playing

if a dog is dragging someone out of the way of a train
then how does it get run over? when you drag someone you are usually infront of them, so the dog would have had to like jumped infront of the train or something.

maybe pushed him with head? i dunno, but he's still a hero.

and this is why we use dogs for things.

Yeah how did this work?

You can imagine it biting the owners clothes and walking backwards to save it. Unless the force of the train sucked it under the wheels or something... but otherwise it must have jumped into it lolwut.

but he's still a hero.

Meh. Its a touching story that to me represents the potential power of a bond with animals and the intelligence of dogs.

Though its not like it sat there and thought "today I will risk my life for my owner". It probably just did it because it saw its owner in distress. Its death sounds clumsy if anything.

Its only natural people will humanize the dog and claim it made decisions and risked it all lol.

maybe the dog was really dragging the owner INFRONT of the train and it didnt move fast enough and got only itself runover

Well here's the thing
Most dogs are adorable.
Just
Adorbs
Humans on the other hand aren't fluffy adorable
Therefore people will be saddened over the dog more than the human.

They also stuff on your floor and tear up your stuff.
Do I do that when I come to your house? Rarely.

Poor Puppy!

Who wants to draw a detailed scene of the ded doge?

Plus they smell constantly and always want attention. You know someone has a dog because its all over their clothes and whatever tatters are left of their furnishings.  :cookieMonster:
