Author Topic: AVG Sappin' Mah Google Chrome  (Read 629 times)

So basically the new AVG update forced AVG secure search to be my homepage, regardless of my Google Chrome settings. The best I could do is make it so when I open a new tab, it goes to the new tab page. Even so, it annoyingly starts out as AVG secure search for like half a second than changes. I even tried deleting AVG secure search and setting Google as my default search engine. But it just opens to a blank page, with the tab being the AVG symbol and three dots. The brief AVG page still happens when I open a new tab. Is there some way to fix this? It's a small problem but it's god damn annoying. Should I try re-installing Google Chrome or something...?

Try looking for an "AVG Secure Search" extension. I had the same problem but disabled that extension and now it works.
Wait nevermind I'm stupid. I don't know what's wrong.

AVG was amazing at first, then it turned into pure stuff

Pretty much why I only have Avira and Malwarebytes.
Reinstall.

AVG stopped my tekkit download, I had to disable it and firewall.

Aha, fixed!
Gah son of a bitch it's still not working.. Was I supposed to uninstall AVG?

uh
turn it off p/disable it
What do you mean by that? Or explain how to do it.

Look in extensions, see if there is anything AVG related looking.

AVG do not track, I think.

Edit: Disabled it, no more Problems! YEEES!
