Clever. It's like no one expected that joke to be made, and it hasn't been done to death before.

it's to let people know they support the drama

is "i'll be sure to ban him from my server" better?

What would be the appropriate way to say I completely agree with you?

"I absolutely agree with you OP.  I feel that this type of response does not warrant any attention nor does it contribute anything to the discussion on hand.  I hope that many others feel the same way."

It won't hurt to write more than "I agree" and explain why, not targeting you at all, just saying.

why should we have to write a long fancy post every time we agree with someone?
can't we just say "yeah i agree, this guy is dumb" or whatever

Sometimes there isn't really much of a "why" to mention, and that doesn't necessarily mean that saying why will contribute anything to the discussion. You could probably also restate what they said as your own viewpoint, but again, that doesn't really add much unless there's some variation in what you said, and if there is some variation, then you're not exactly completely agreeing with them.

Or you don't need to say anything at all. There's nothing forcing you to post. There are plenty of dramas I read and take note of without having to post.

You probably should have clarified that you're specifically talking about drama threads. First thing that came to mind when I read this was Suggestions and Requests. Still, even here it at least helps indicate how much overall interest there is in the topic even from people who don't have something to add.

It's actually pretty useful. Good suggestions get lots of useless posts, which keeps the topic constantly bumped, which increases the likelihood of having it be made

Perhaps, but it just seems both pointless and redundant to me when you're simply reiterating what someone else said already. And even still, when people make posts obviously in support of the topic they feel the need to quote whoever said '/support' for some inane reason, which is just as aggravating.

In the spirit of this topic, quoting something you agree with and then reposting the quote should count as spam.

It actually adds nothing at all to the topic. If you share an opinion with somebody, you should just say "I agree" or even a simple "Yes"

Eh, I see your points, but I disagree.

It's not like /support is dismissive or something, it's just a quick way to say I totally agree with you OP.
