I suspect they've been picking based on a combination of voting rate and total votes. If it was strictly on total votes, there's no way an indie just getting on could even compete with one like Blockland, that's been on Greenlight for months.
Keep telling your friends at school and such about Blockland.Heck you could probably start a club at school. There are alot of educational elements when you aren't on an online game.
I made a club for blockland after school on fridays. the only downside is that I have to include "that game"minecraftor else people won't join. But already more people are switching from "that game" over to Blockland since the club started

Unfortunately I couldn't join because Jazz Band at our (Bass and I go to same place) school rehearses at the same time, after school on Fridays. :I
