It's almost guaranteed that Blockland gets in this round.
They rank games by momentum (rate of upvoting) and select the top few.
Downvoting a game has no effect other than removing it from "your queue".
Exactly. Blockland lacks the momentum to get greenlit.

No it doesn't. It's getting on, sooner or later.

We've been getting less and less upvotes lately. I'm still hopefull though.

This is the exact opposite of what port just stated.

If games are ranked by momentum, and we're ~#16, we'd probably get greenlit this round.

It just sounds like a mess.  Seems like Steam's rankings are based on total votes, but their actual approvals are based on momentum.  Given the length of time BL's been on there, that seems the most likely scenario- there was a huge initial surge of votes which then dried up.

Blockland needs a machinima spotlight just like the old physics fun video

they greenlight hype-games. stupid dumb stuff that gets lots of hype and attention will get 'greenlit'.

...and then it dies in a couple months.

Just thought I'd mention that I sent a private message to this youtuber to review Blockland on his series, 'The Greenlight'.

The next episode of the series presumably comes out tomorrow. I have no idea what the outcome will be, nor do I know if this was a good idea.
this was the message btw

This is really good, and should be sent to multiple famous youtubers.

Someone should send a pm to markiplier to play since he supports indie games a lot.

You should have put something in there about how it's not a copy of minecraft.

Yes and that bl is an old game.

I wouldn't mention minecraft at all, since it simply throws up the two to be compared.
If you just mention how the game is old (in the same way that blocknight mentioned Blockland being on Greenlight for months and needing a push) then you give that person the information to know that Blockland is older than Minecraft if they happen to draw comparisons between the two.

There's no point bringing up Minecraft, since it'll only give people the thought that the two are similar.
And it also shows that you're concerned about people comparing the two. Which again suggests that we know there are similarities but don't want to acknowledge them.

Any normal person looking at Blockland in a fair light (as any reviewer worth their salt should do) will see that there are some aspects of Blockland that are also shared with Minecraft. But they'll also know for certain that the games are incredibly different. Especially if you play both of them.

If anyone goes onto our Steam Greenlight page and complains the game is like, or is a rip-off of Minecraft, then they have obviously never played Blockland.
