Last time i tried to get steam i got a truckload of rootkits that would redirect every freaking one of my google searches to some cheap, ad-filled ripoff.

You tried getting steam games for free using "jailbroken" steam.You should know its rigged with Rootkits,spyware,malwareand general virus stuff.

Or you downloaded steam from a site that isn't official.
