Author Topic: No, you do NOT have OCD unless your doctor said so.  (Read 1740 times)

man you can start a war with a loving sneeze in here

This didnt need its own topic, its quite obvious who this was directed at. Im assuming you made this to get more attention.
No actually it could be tons of things. That was a horrible brown townogy.
This could warrant it's own thread, I know a lot of "OCDs" IRL who think they're so OCD and they're not lol.

Repeatedly checking to see if my door is locked (within a span of about a minute, about ten times, walking down my walkway and back (when I was younger)), washing my hair constantly in the shower (not allowing myself to leave without doing so), having to ensure that every single little toy I own does not have any quality control issues, which includes any form of warped plastic or slightly bent/strained plastic, not allowing myself to sleep at night without constantly checking to see if all 7 cats (they hide a lot, too) are inside my house, having to wash my hands before not a single mark is on them, etc.

However, yes, I was diagnosed by a professional.  Yes, I take medication for it.  You do not see me using it as an excuse for anything, though.  I use it to portray why I don't finish many projects, but I do not simply throw all of the guilt on to a disorder.  I am aware of the problems and I am making a solid attempt to overcome them.  No, I wasn't aware that I had it until I saw someone for it.  It was about 6-7 years ago, too.

My doctor is convinced that I have OCD. Boom baby.

sometimes i get frustrated if i don't apply equal opposing force to something, for example pushing a box to the side. if i don't apply the same amount of pressure on one side as i do on the other, it frustrates me.

i'm pretty sure it's not ocd though, just a perfectionist habit.

I'm sorry, but uh, how does this have any importance? why is op and colten so butthurt because people like to feel unique

That chart is not only irrelevant but also handicapped as hell and anyone who uses mental disorders to make themselves 'unique' deserves to be made fun of

why do people list a bunch of normal things and then say they're "so OCD"
OCD isn't even an adjective. you could say you're "so OC" though

why is op and colten so butthurt because people like to feel unique
How is Colten butthurt?

how so? people don't want to feel like they are just a run of the mill human being.

How is Colten butthurt?

he isn't, im using it as a metaphor

let me rephrase:

"Why are OP and colten so opposing of the fact that people use disabilities to feel unique"

How is Colten butthurt?
He probably meant how he got butthurt over your brown townogy because people over-brown townyze things like no tomorrow here.

I really don't even know how to respond to this. I can't see anyone reading that and agreeing that its ok to make up disabilities to feel unique.

"Why are OP and colten so opposing of the fact that people use disabilities to feel unique"
I am pretty sure that you mean they oppose that people use disabilities to feel unique, not that they oppose the fact that people do it.

Assuming that you did indeed mean the former, it is pretty obvious. Making up a disability for yourself to feel special is pretty handicapped and pathetic.
