stay out of apple threads if you are just gonna say "buy pcs macs are stuff!"

I'd choose the air, IMO.

ibm thinkpad!
I actually just got an IBM (now Lenovo) Thinkpad from my school. It's actually pretty good (although I miss the numpad from my ASUS).

No Apple spent millions of dollars in marketing to convince hipster friends like OP that a song you made sounds better or a video you edited looks better if you made it on a Mac, even if the same god damn software is available on other platforms.

FruityLoops + soundcard

why are you in this thread if you dislike apple, you're basically here just to hate on OP and apple, and not be a help and help him decide.

No opinions allowed on the internet!

lats time I checked
providing opinion is helping the op
he's telling him what to get
and that's neither

waah someone's bashing apple with their opinion
better be a tool as usual

Macbook pro - $2000
A normal laptop with similar/better specs - $800

If you hate windows use linux.
It's just a money saver not to buy from apple...

Pcs are loving memory hogs and is a part of a glitched up, ass raped OS that no one should have to suffer through, and the funny is that about 95% of the Mac haters have never owned a Mac, so there opinion is invalid.

ontopic: get a MacBook pro, they have better specs

Are you serious?

If you can't figure out Windows you don't need to be using any computer. Windows uses a lot less memory than macs. The macbook pro has worse specs than a PC gaming laptop. Your opinion is invalid.

Probably the dumbest post I have ever seen.

Pcs are loving memory hogs
stop installing memory-resident programs
is a part of a glitched up, ass raped OS that no one should have to suffer through
Windows is like a car. If you don't take care of it, it will break down and you'll have to start anew. Obviously you were throwing a bucket of shrimp into it. Either way, install a Linux distro if you hate windows this much.

I've used a Mac. It may have been a PowerPC, but it was a Mac. The price of it was like $500 even in 2006. Incredibly low performance to dollar.

Shut the forget up, let him get what he prefers.

speaking of the enemy side which pulls off the same bullstuff only from mac attacking PC:

Memory hogs: you actually have to force close an application to make it close fully on mac, we're not using android or iphone so this stuffty feature isnt needed and makes it a bigger memory hog then what windows wants.

glitched up, ass raped OS: use windows 7 and not ME or vista and tell me everything that's wrong with it.

anyways, if you're willing to move some music files to your main computer and clean regularly, go with the macbook air.

also, you guys seem to be forgetting that wine doesn't work with every program that exists.

Most programs I use on windows 7 always fight me before they close, I want to close the program, it doesn't respawn, I open the task manager and then try to make it end the task from there, but no it tells me it's not respawnding AGAIN so then I click it to close, but does it close then? No it asked me if I want to end the program now and NOW it closes. I bought a powerful computer pc for a reason: so it won't forget up but I guess with pcs that not really an option. I have installed Linux and its great but it doesn't have games or the applications that a Mac comes with ( iWeb, iMovie). If it did I wouldn't use macs.

It sounds like you're too incompetent to operate a computer correctly.

On second though, Macs are perfect for you.

Sorry for wanting a computer that works

The only issue I could say I had with Windows 7 is that it uninstalled my SATAII and audio drivers per restart, and was promptly fixed by not letting Windows install drivers for my devices. I have never experienced issues like you just said, and my computer is incredibly low-end compared to some of today's computers.
it doesn't have games
Most Linux distros have more games preinstalled than OS X has preinstalled. Deeming this invalid and moving forward.
or the applications that a Mac comes with ( iWeb, iMovie)
It doesn't come with them, but there are programs like such available. Ubuntu would probably be the most popular distro for programs like these to exist for.
Sorry for wanting a computer that works
You get a computer that works, you break it. That's the issue. OS X is idiot-proofed to the max.
