Needs some work...
not helpful unless you say how you think i can improve

It's not a bad start, but there are still things to do. I rather like the fact you gave plenty of headroom for the residents. You should probably consider the following in no particular order:

-You put frames around the windows which look nice. You should do the same with the front door.
-How many rooms do you want? What sort of layout? Open plan with American kitchen? Ask yourself these kind of questions before moving on to interior designing. If you want more rooms, consider adding another floor.
-Sloped roof would look nice. I'd probably use the 25 degrees ramps, as anything steeper might look too silly.
-Have you thought about a garage? If yes, you could attach it to your house. This would make the floor-plan less square.
-If there's enough room, you could try experimenting with adding another layer of walls as an "interior wall". You can have more varied rooms that way.

If there's anything else, just ask.

I think this may help you out. At least give you some inspiration.

Use the decorative brick pack bricks, they always make houses look good.

I disagree.

Most houses don't have flat roofs

I disagree.

I disagree to your disagree.

The house you made, yes has structure, proportions, and landscaping, but lacks texture.  The decorative bricks, like the brick bricks and brick plates, add depth and complexity to the build.  Adding a two brick-high wall of brick bricks around the base of your house can add flare to the design, coupled with the slante ramp pack and pole brick pack, a really good exterior can be made.

I think it would be a good idea to focus on the bricks already available as you're builds can become much more detailed and still look good without the usage of external bricks, Sure it may take longer but the outcome can be much better and you get the chance to use default bricks to develop new building styles, and in the process develop your own style of things.

That ain't how I learned to build well.

I copied people's ways of building, and changed things I didn't like.  I learned from what looked good and what looked bad, and developed my own style, which just so happens to rarely include default bricks.
