all the tutorials ive seen on the internet are using their speakers, nothing for headphones, and i don't even have stereo mix or whatever in my audio sound thingy

update/get new audio drivers
some companies disable your ability to record for stereo mix or something idk
there are a couple of other names it might be using instead of stereo mix, though, so check that out before going through the trouble

do you have show disabled and disconnected devices enabled in the recording devices window?

they need to be checked for stereo mix to show up and you can enable it from there
